Background

Interactive Concepts is a manufacturer of stationery products (Rubber Stamps, Name Badges, Business Cards and Stickers/Labels) and sells directly to our clients through our eCommerce websites.

We do NOT service any customers at our premises.

As such, we are legally classified in terms of the new regulations released on 30 April 2020, to expand our trading from only offering our products to essential services companies, to offering our products to all clients within the borders of South Africa.

We currently have all our sales team working from home and will continue to operate like this during level 4.

Print Production Supervisor – starting 1 June 2018

A vacancy has opened up for the right candidate to join our busy production department. We are a pure-play e-commerce company specialising in the manufacturing and/or printing of personalised and customised products for our vast customer base throughout South Africa.

We currently have five complementary sites in our stable and are looking to launch a further two this year. The current sites are:

We are prepared to offer a competitive salary, commensurate with the skills and experience of the right candidate. Our offices are based in Hillcrest about 2 minutes from the centre of town. If you are thinking of applying for this job, then you will need to have the following skills, experience and attributes.

Required:

  • Desktop Publishing – expert ability in Corel Draw and Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
  • Prepare files for printing to digital production printers and wide format printers
  • Experience using digital production equipment and wide format printer/cutters
  • Experience with finishing, including cutting, laminating, doming and assembly
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Detail oriented with a non-negotiable attitude towards quality
  • Problem Solver and Innovator
  • Self Driven and ability to work at a high pace and meet tight deadlines
  • Must be a team player, but also a leader able to delegate where necessary

Preferred:

  • Own Transport
  • Experience using business process software
  • Worked in a web to print environment
  • Ecommerce experience
  • Experience with a variety of media used in wide format printing
  • Canvas printing and framing

Full Colour Posters

Our full colour posters can be printed on a variety of different media to fit your budget and the specific application. It doesn’t matter whether it is a high quality poster of a person, building or place that you want to frame and hang permanently, or whether you simply want a quick set of posters for a specific event or function.

Our online web calculator will quickly allow you to work out the pricing based on the media you select and we can usually have your order printed and delivered within 48 hours. Larger jobs may take a bit longer and will also be eligible for a volume discount, so please contact us directly in this regard.

If you are a retail outlet, why not consider buying snapper frames from us. They are easy to install and you can then easily change the posters, without having to take the frames down. In fact you can keep a stack of 3-5 posters in the frame and remove the transparent covering to rotate. These are not yet on our website so please contact us directly for a quote or to place your order.

i-Pay Instant EFT – a quick and safe payment alternative

We are firm believers in ‘Local is Lekker’ and have been keeping a close eye on i-Pay for some time now. We had tried several Instant EFT solutions in the past for our customers, but they all seemed very clunky and slow. i-Pay has definitely disrupted this space and is a proudly South African service. We are pleased to announce that PlanPrintSA.co.za is our first site offering i-Pay and we will be rolling the service out to our other sites in 2018.

Here is a short guide on how the i-Pay payment process works:

1. Checkout

When a customer reaches the checkout page of an ecommerce website, there is a list of payment gateways that will be displayed, having been set up by the site’s owner. i-Pay will be a part of this list. All the customer has to do is select i-Pay and click ‘Proceed’ or ‘Next’, etc.

2. Bank Select

From there the site will know that i-Pay is handling the payment. I-Pay will then take over and connect the customer with his or her bank. It will do this by offering a list of the top banks in the country, being Absa, FNB, Standard Bank, Nedbank, Capitec, and Investec. All the customer has to do is select the desired bank from this list.

3. Login

Once the customer has selected his or her desired bank, i-Pay facilitates the login process. The customer will then input his or her login details as if it were a regular login to online banking.

4. Account Select

Sometimes customers have different accounts with the same bank. i-Pay makes it possible to use any of these accounts to pay. Once the customer’s bank has been accessed, i-Pay will offer a menu of all the accounts linked to that customer. The customer then simply has to choose the account from which the payment should be made.

5. One-Time Pin

In order to verify that it is the owner of the account trying to make a payment (and not a fraudulent login) a one-time pin will be sent to the customer’s phone. This is a 4-digit numerical code that can only be used for one payment. The customer must enter this code into the i-Pay app where prompted. This will ensure the bank that the right customer is trying to make the payment, and will move the process to the verification stage.

6. Payment Approval

Once the bank is satisfied that the customer is the owner of the account, it will approve and process the payment. The customer will then see a ‘Payment Successful’ notice come up on screen. This confirms that the payment has gone through, and the transaction is complete. It’s as simple as that!

When we initially looked at the site architecture for this site, two factors were absolutely key.

Firstly, we wanted to cut out all the fluff and drastically reduce the time it took to place an order. We therefore start the order journey on the Homepage, by uploading your file(s) – either by dragging them into the upload area or searching and selecting on your device.

On the next page you are able to specify the type, size, paper and quantity required. If you need to, you can also add additional files at this stage. The online price calculator gives you immediate updates based on the options selected, so you can proceed with confidence.

If you have a discount coupon from any of our promotions, you can also enter it at this stage.

The final stage is the checkout page. Login to retrieve all your details if you are a returning client or enter your details quickly if this is the first time you are ordering from us.

We offer 3 different payment options for your convenience:

  1. Credit / Debit Card through Paygate (our trusted payment gateway since 2005)
  2. Instant EFT through i-Pay
  3. EFT – once you place your order, we will send you a pro-forma invoice with our banking details and you can process an EFT as you would normally do

We also offer Account Facilities (payment on statement) to qualifying businesses. If you order plans multiple times per month, please drop us an email and we will contact you to discuss our account option.

Once we receive your order and payment, it will go straight to our production department who may contact if they have any queries. Unless it is a very large order and provided it is placed before our courier cut-off time, your order will then be dispatched the same day for delivery to you the following day if you are in a main centre.
